Accessibility at Larmer Tree
We want Larmer Tree to be a place where everyone feels welcome and able to enjoy themselves.
Our gardens are historic, beautiful and wonderfully unruly in places, which means they aren't completely step-free or even underfoot. There are gravel paths, slopes, steps and some uneven ground, so some areas are easier to access than others.
There are accessible routes to many of the main areas of the gardens, including the main lawn, and accessible toilet facilities are available.
Assistance dogs are very welcome.
For weddings and events, we're happy to work with couples and guests to make things as accessible as possible. We can help with things such as suitable routes, parking and drop-off arrangements, seating and access to facilities.
Our main event spaces; The Pavilion and Jubilee Hall can be accessed via level pathways and contain an easy access bathroom facility in addition to the one located within the gardens.
We also recognise that accessibility isn't just about getting around. If you have a non-visible disability or additional need and would benefit from a quieter space, a little extra time or some additional support, please let us know.
If you're unsure whether Larmer Tree will work for you or someone in your party, just ask. We're always happy to have a chat beforehand, talk through the gardens and help you work out the best way to enjoy your time.
