Larmer Tree is an award-winning wedding venue on the border of Wiltshire and Dorset. Our unique collection of ornate indoor and outdoor spaces, set within 11 acres of picturesque grounds, provides an impressive setting for wedding ceremonies and celebrations.
Larmer Tree’s Roman Temple is a classical building with a truly magical atmosphere. During the warmer months, guests can witness the wedding ceremony outside on the lawn, gather for photographs or simply explore the grounds at their leisure.
It’s rare to find an open-air stage such as this in the UK. Semi-domed with a raised stage, the Singing Theatre is perfect as a backdrop for wedding photos and for outdoor wedding band performances while guests enjoy a cocktail in deck chairs on the lawn. The magnificent, hand-painted mural was created by the scenery department of the Welsh National Opera.
The Lower Indian Room is an authentic Nepalese building featuring sliding glass doors and ornate carvings. Its elevated position for the bridal party provides guests with an excellent view of the wedding ceremony.
The Larmer Tree Pavilion, our dining room, combines high ceilings with glass doors and a view of the terrace and gardens. In the winter months, the ceiling is filled with a canopy of fairy lights for twilight dining. While a relatively modern addition to the Larmer Tree’s collection of buildings, the Pavilion is a light, bright function space that’s a blank canvas for decoration. Speak with our team to discuss your ideas.
Larmer Tree’s Jubilee Hall is an elegant, Victorian building with a fairy lit canopied ceiling. Originally built by the estate workers for their own parties, the Jubilee Hall combines historic features such as carvings and characterful mirrors with modern renovations to make it a practical and versatile space.
For those seeking a traditional church wedding, the Church of Saint Peter ad Vincula in nearby Tollard Royal village is a great choice. Part of the Rushmore Estate, this 13th Century structure is just 5 minutes drive away from the Larmer Tree, with the capacity to accommodate up to 150 guests.
From the historic and secluded Dell, created in the 1890s, the main lawn and the picturesque Bridal Quarters, the Larmer Tree gardens are full of captivating secret pathways for you and guests to discover.
Every couple marrying at Larmer Tree gets allocated one of our experienced wedding coordinators as part of the booking. Our dedicated team works with you both in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. From liaising with suppliers, to getting everyone in the right place at the right time, your wedding coordinator ensures everything runs smoothly so you can relax and enjoy your day.

Absolutely. Guests are more than welcome to camp after the wedding. Keep in mind that the facilities on site for this are very basic – think portaloos – so only really suited to basic tents and campervans as opposed to glamping. Camping at Larmer Tree for the wedding night will incur a small charge, and will need to be arranged in advance. Please speak to the team for more information.
